Older you get, more U are invested.

More Ure invested, more the loss or gain.

I have numerous accounts, but I started tracking all accounts at one place last year at personalcapital.com

Good or bad, it shows U the complete picture.

I need to rethink, now that I know whats happening.

How do U react to such a market in your 40s or 50s?

TIA,
TS.

in your 40s, you drink your sorrows away.

in your 50s, do the same but a little earlier in the day

If you didn't sell into the panic , it may be just a paper loss . Unless you are tied up in BABA kind of overhyped stocks. The US economy is doing well so much so that Fed may hike the interest rates. Even the China economy is not in such a bad shape yet. Only their stock market bubble has popped and their govt actions since then have exacerbated the fall.
My expectation is for a V shaped recovery of US stock market and you may even get a new high in two months. Take this free advice for what it is worth.

@Propa - :-))

@Bank of America? b_A :-) - Of course its all paper loss. I have always been a "buy for forever" kinda investor, mostly because I have focussed on buy, and never on sell. Why sell, if you believe in the stock and it pays you dividends? But now, I wonder if I should start putting a stop-loss sell order each time I buy something?

There are times in stock market, when selling is as much important, than holding. I cannot figure out this hold vs. sell part yet.

Buy low, sell high. I hardly aim to time the market. I buy at good prices, but I never sell at good. End up keeping. Does not seem right.

TIA,
TS.
