PM's speech in Hindi had few takers in Tamil Nadu




Though many schools across the country made arrangements for students to watch Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Teachers' Day interaction with children on Friday, the event was a damp squib in Tamil Nadu as most of the children did not understand what the Prime Minister spoke.

Representatives of several schools said they did not tune in to the event between 10am and 11.45am as their students do not know Hindi. While they lauded the vision behind the exercise, they said a transla tion could have helped students.
