Lalu in Politics - Shame on India
..In no other country, a convicted and well-established corrupt figure like Lalu would be supported by people. Such people would have been shamed and vanquished from the public scence for the rest of the life.
...“When the prime minister calls somebody’s daughter bechari (poor), it’s an insult to women. Could he have dared to use the term for the child of an upper caste person?” Prasad asked, trying to whip up caste passions over the humiliation.
Convicts should not just be banned for 6 years, but Disenfranchised for the rest of their lives, and EC should ban the person or party that allows the convict to speak on their behalf.
Time to change the election laws. The corrupt never really stay away from power, and the stupid people keep shuttling between one corrupt person to another corrupt person. Families will sideline if anyone among them was in jail for even a small criminal action. But the entire people listen, respect, and vote for one of the biggest convicts in India. Look at how he is sitting. It is unfair for rapists and murderers to toil in jail.

Your intolerance against a famous BIMARU neta is disgusting. I return my award in protest.

Did you cringe at the pictures of Modi, the PM of India, and Lalu hugging each other that were published in the newspapers a few weeks ago?

That does not mean he is "purified" When Lalu has no shame, EC has no teeth, and Judiciary is inefficient, and the constitution is raped by politicians, such "white" collar convicts will be revered, and even a PM will hug them.
Treat these political convicts like Chota Rajan - as they also destroyed the lives of millions of people. Disenfranchising will make Lalu much less influential and Modi would then hug Misa Bharati and not Lalu.
Remember Phoolan Devi - but at least there was a wronged woman who resorted to wrongful ways to do the right thing.
