sometimes i wonder why i didn't just go into fashion or become a part promoter or open my own boutique. my parents would have let me. my life would have been better.

or be a singer even if a mediocre one. here is usha uthup singing with what looks like her family. she sang at my sister's wedding. i didn't pay attention or even appreciate her then but then i came across her singing american songs. real good stuff.

U can Ms. Nanda. No one says that you are only allowed one profession, let alone occupation.

Tons of examples, of Indians, I know. A Major in Indian army married an IT woman, came to US, became an IT guy. But he always wanted to a stand-up-comedian. Did many shows locally. Now, in NY as VP in the corporate world, and a comedian during nights.

A lady, who got an MBA, became a manager but realized that she is very good at event management, to co-ordinate, to deal-with variety of folks. Did it on the side, to a point that its all she does.

The point - Do both for a while. And the road will choose you.

I admire such people.

Whattt..already you are bored of your big paycheck of more than $200K - much more than what code coolies make?

Treating patients for 8 hours a day 5 days a week is the most mundane and boring thing one can do - no mater how much money is involved.

BTW, I have been seeing more and more laid-off doctors lately.
