They made an announcement in the past as well but didn't close. I still have my HMT watch - it works.

It's about time this Raj-era relic (the tool company) closed for good. At one time, after the Independence, it used political connections to keep the competition away.

You guys did not read carefully. HMT "Watch" company is winding down. It has other gazillion subsidiaries including machine tool and tractor companies that are NOT closing down.
