Wowwww... will all the Cong(i) politicians publicly apologize for supporting Ishrat - and that too against Modi, Shah, and other police officials.
Someone should put in a RTI and seek Sonia ji's Pappu ji's passports - who knows what people might find and where all they traveled.

Yeah, Rana Ayyub and Brinda Grover made a living out of attacking Modi on this. Anti-national Sikular perverts like Doggy & Laloo were taking liberties in maligning Modi. Nitish Kumar used Jahan as an example (for votes) for BJP's intolerance towards Muslims. Titsa Sheethalmad and her husband were another couple who were maligning Modi. Excessively brilliant SuCh Sikular scholars were also joining in. They should all be ashamed of themselves.

Don't get too excited, Unkil. It is extremely shady, the way Ujjwal Nikam - the same guy who shamelessly propagated the lie that Ajmal Kasab got biryani in his prison cell - brought up Ishrat Jahan who died 4 years before 26/11 and then put words into a convicted terrorist's mouth. This was a political fishing expedition totally unrelated to 26/11, just to get Jabba the Hut off the hook.

Ishrat Jahan could very well be a terrorist based on circumstantial evidence.
Congress and Laloo (and Nitish) jumped on muslim appeasement opportunity bandwagon to criticize Modi.
Even the judge may have been a congress stooge.
BJP has a right to demand apologies from congress and Laloo.
It is also possible that Headly may turn out to be a liar about Ishrat Jahan or Govt may have brought him to court knowing he already said Ishrat Jahan is a terrorist in his american interrogation or testimony.
However, consider the following information.
Ishrat Jahan was a citizen of India.
She was killed in a police encounter.
A judge declared that the encounter is a fake.
Whether she was a terrorist or not, Indian law does not permit executions by police.
But unfortunately media, congress and BJP act as if the only issue is whether she was a terrorist or not.
The civil rights issue that is ignored is, can police execute Ishrat jahan , the terrorist, without first going through Indian legal process.
Congress is afraid to raise this issue because its own hands soaked in the blood of hundreds encounters during its govts.

Everything is right... Civil rights, fake encounter (is a real encounter legal???), individual rights - all exists ONLY on paper.
Ideally I want a citizen to criticize and not lynched or "arranged to be lynched". May be the Cutie Ishrat Cutie could have been reformed. But, unfortunately if you are not influential - in some way - in India, you will be against all the forces.

There are real encounters between armed groups of different political hues and different underground criminal elements and police and security forces. People do get killed in those encounters.
But most fake encounters are against political opponents who were captured earlier. And probably subjected to torture before they were killed in a fake encounter set up.
