a foot tapping beat behind jamal's sometimes soft, sometimes aggressive flights of fancy. a joyous piece of music.



jamal is 85 and the creative juices are still flowing as freely as ever. i heard him live just a couple of years back.

I'm glad you liked jamal playing poinciana. and brubeck? glad to know. i hope you'll post something by monk.

I've heard brubeck in concert in nyc, but only after the quartet disbanded.
