Hasn't that always been the case? It was like that back in the day too with a sprinkling of Physics and EE majors in the top 20. Rest were CS.

Not sure where it all leads to.

Most of them will end up as Code coolies or with an YEM BEE AAA becoming Public looters.

Civil engineering, Electrical/Mechanical /Physics majors are the need of the hour for India's development goals. Only third rate guys will end up filling these jobs.

Of course, money and status, and how OTHERS will perceive are the main criteria Of course, money is in everyone's mind.

Excellent choice -- it goes very well with their high standings as a result of going to coaching institutes which concentrate mostly on solving questions from past examinations numerous times.
