....rundhati Bhattacharya, the chairperson of State Bank of India (SBI) is likely to be appointed as the next Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor. As per rumours doing the round within the financial circles, Centre is impressed with her performance as the Managing Director of SBI since the past 3 years, and is likely to hand over the reigns from Rajan to her this September.

Hm... If the Indian banking system has to be cleaned up, shouldn't someone from outside be at the helm? SBI is in no rosy picture and how can its head become the head of RBI?

And this woman is undergraduate in literature and went to Jadhavpur (to do what???) In an egotistical world of economists and bankers, wonder how much respect she will get. Even Rajan was sniped at by REAL economists.
