BENGALURU: Students in professional courses will have to study Kannada as a mandatory subject from the coming academic year.

The Higher Education Department has decided to introduce the language in courses covering medicine, engineering and law.o

I refuse to accept the award in protest against the neglect towards south Indian artistes. south India is as great as north India, this belated award could not be seen as recognition.
