Four soldiers of Telanagana Anti-Terror Squad were on a follow-up of suspected terrorists in Etawah for the past 15 days.

The local UP police and even the ATS did know about the four ATS soldiers and their plan.

Three ATS soldiers were stopped by locals. When the locals realised the ATS soldiers weren't proficient at Hindi, they started bashing them up thinking they might be terrorists.

The locals then called the police. The police also mistook them as the terrorists and locked them up, and the three ATS soldiers were beaten all night long.

Upon coming to know about the three locked ATS soldiers who were thrashed left, right and centre the entire night, the fourth ATS soldier came to the police station and soon informed the Telangana ATS IG about the incident.

After a few phone calls from top ATS officials, the three soldiers were set free.

After reading title, I entered the thread to post "I bet these Hindian police asked questions in Hindi". On reading the news it clearly says the Telugu police were beating because they could not understand Hindi.

The Telugus, instead of protesting and smashing things to get their homeland divided into 2, should haVe gone on rampage to be free from Hindia

why were the Telugu police snooping around in UP (and creating alarm among the people) without informing UP police?
