TN, AP, Goa and Pondy lead the way with little or no adulteration.

You are being a cynic... there are two pieces of good news here. One, India has a Food Safety and Standards Authority. Two, they are already working in 33 states, while the rest of India is still trying to catch up with them, with only 28 states.

Milkmen in general are better known for committing adultery than adulteration! How is the gang doing including my Nephew?

Oh, don't know if you were ever big on chat, but there is a chat feature here now which has become quite popular. Look at "SuCHat" on top.goodcitizn wrote:Happy 2012 to you as well!

I tried to register in SuCHat with my current user ID and password but was notified that the data was invalid. I submitted my email address and was told it was invalid. There is something strange going on in Denmark.

Thanks for the links, Tracy. Nice to see all of the old friends here. I noticed a handle "mulai azhagi". In Tamil it can be interpreted as breast beauty or brain beauty. Interesting name!

if true, it is not Gujarat and Anand. Huh? BTW whats new with the news? Years ago in Bombay we had a guy who delivered milk at door step. He used to wake up at 5 and bring all milk bottles to his room. Open each and empty 1/4 to his own dish and add water, reseal bottles with the same alumium flap and deliver. Once I saw him doing this and discotinued. Never ever paid for milk in India. Always bought the tea or coffee directly which of course were full of H2O.
The water in India is polluted beyond a reasonable and acceptable level. So milk contamination should not come as any surprise. What do the cows eat and drink anyway? (don't they even wear/munch bata chappals :-)) Me least surprised.

Re: Milk in India is adulterated
FYI charvaka and Props, the guy who was eating food was actually ME. The dhoti, shaven head and glasses give you a clue. It was ME. I was the guest actor and they did not pay me anything. Brahmanandam looked better here BTW. After the chicken episode I stopped paying for milk too. Unfortunately I am forced to pay for everything in this desh. India was better, everything was almost free. ;-)
