2. Princess’ underwear is stolen for cloth. (5)
D(HOT)I --- princess is DI, stolen is HOT, underwear is something the princess wears inside (i.e., princess goes outside and underwear inside)
5. Bird with egg on flower. (eight)
LARKSPUR ---- LARK is the bird, SPUR for egg on.
