The Pyramid of Djoser (or Djeser and Zoser), or step pyramid (kbhw-ntrw in Egyptian) is an archeological remain in the Saqqara necropolis, Egypt, northwest of the city of Memphis. It was built during the 27th century BC for the burial of Pharaoh Djoser by his vizier, Imhotep. It is the central feature of a vast mortuary complex in an enormous courtyard surrounded by ceremonial structures and decoration.

This first Egyptian pyramid consisted of six mastabas (of decreasing size) built atop one another in what were clearly revisions and developments of the original plan. The pyramid originally stood 62 metres (203 ft) tall, with a base of 109 m × 125 m (358 ft × 410 ft) and was clad in polished white limestone.[2] The step pyramid (or proto-pyramid) is considered to be the earliest large-scale cut stone construction,[3] although the pyramids at Caral in South America are contemporary and the nearby enclosure known as Gisr el-mudir would seem to predate the complex.

Egyptian and Greek cultures were classified as 'Western". There was nothing Western about them. They both were more akin to Eastern cultures. Just because they were great cultures, they were put in the Western fold. Aryans were thought of as smart people. So, they had to come to India from West. When Neanderthals were thought of as moronic, goras didn't think that they could be their ancestors. Now that Neanderthals are considered to be smart, goras are changing their mind about their ancestry!......

I like old buildings and am in awe of the skill and craftsmanship involved in creating them but do agree with the view that erecting grand edifices is for ego boost and a huge waste of resources. The Egyptians used to bury the servants of the royals together with them. How cruel is that?

Yeah. They were obsessed with the after life and built huge structures for that purpose. However, they were not stupid like the pieceful (and their 72)....

But they were stupid enough to think that they could preserve their bodies forever, and could take their friends, family members and wealth into the afterlife. It was nothing more than adults implementing childish ideas with glorified tombs like the pyramids. At the same time, Hindus were propounding and practicing concepts of Sanatana Dharma, which people struggle to learn and understand even today, and building fantastic temples which are impossible to replicate even today. So, to summarize:

Ancient Egyptians were many times more intelligent than today's pieceful idiots! And Hindus were many many times more intelligent than Egyptians. That means, Hindus were, are and will always be orders of magnitude more intelligent, sophisticated and civilized than the pieceful idiots who are still covering their women in tents and blowing themselves up.
