Italian ship captains Empty Italian ship captains

This is the second time that an Italian capatain abandoned ship before all who could be rescued were rescued. Several years ago, the Italian captain of a cruise ship jumped ship first off the South African coast, and a chef on the ship had to organize the rescue efforts.

Six years ago, I took the Meditteranian cruise from the same company Costa cruises of Italy. I had seen the ship Costa Concaordia docked at Naples, Italy. I think that ship is the biggest one the company owned.

The cruise I took had a lot of Indian and Phillipino workers doing the menial jobs like cooks and cleaners. Most of the Indians were either from Kerala or Goa.

Actually, this is the best time to take a Meditteranian cruise. Because of this mishap, a lot of cruises are on sale. You will really enjoy it.

Even cruises around here - 3-day Caribbiean, 3-day Cancun, 7-day Carribiean, etc., have lot of Indian staff. On one occasion they even brought food (roti/subji, rice, dal, dahi, etc.) to the cabin of an elderly lady in our group.

With the long coastline that India has, nice touristy places nearby (Singapore, Bali, Malaysia, etc.), and upwarly mobile young population demanding nicer things in life, I wonder if the cruise industry soon becomes big in India.

May be a Carnatic raagam-taanam-pallavi, or a Hindustani concert that starts with a Sandhya-raga in the evening and ends with an Udaya-raga the following morning offered as on-board entertainment.

We may also ask our movie comedians to perform on stage,

and then have the heroes to provide real comedy,

and the heroines to dance to popular songs.

There are cruises available meant only for Indians called "masala cruises " Food is strictly desi

these are for young robust Indians wanting some masti

and if its foreign tourists joining why we have a variety of entertainment for them as u said Smile
