The Vemulawada temple attained distinction in the country for emerging as model for communal harmony. It is the only Siva temple which also houses the dargah of Hazrath Baba Kwaja Bagh Sarvar. Devotees after offering prayers to the presiding deities at the temple also offer prayers at the dargah on the temple premises. This temple also attained distinction in the country. During the Sri Ramanavami celebrations, the devotees, including men and women turn into the brides of Lord Siva and marry Lord Siva during the festival as is a ritual since ages.
