The US position on PakiSatan won't really change until there is a more acceptable route to Central Asia from South Asia. Unfortunately, Trump doesn't think of Iran as a reliable corridor. Obama was willing to let India deal with Iran, build a port and a connecting highway to Afghanistan. So, PakiSatan will have its strategic importance until Balochistan is separated from it. Hopefully, Modi is doing his home work and facilitating the split. Even Trump may be interested in such a move if someone explains the strategic importance of it (for the corridor AND and eliminating PakiSatan's strategic importance).

Trump talking about iSlamic terrorism is nothing new. He just enjoys saying the words. Hopefully, that will some day translate into closing the US connection with Pakis.
