He is a classic example of the chicken-hawk. He dodged Vietnam saying he had bone spurs that were painful, but can't remember which leg was affected. Yet he won't let his cowardice get in the way of talking tough about actual prisoners of war. He worships "strong men" like Putin and Erdogan and craves their respect, while they see him for the entitled whiner he is.

Donald Trump is a poor man's idea of a rich man, a weak man's idea of a strong man, and a stupid man's idea of a smart man.

actually, yeah.. couldn't be more right...but you know, that's when one is young, not past 40ish;

but his voters're that and older...so it's more like the lack of diversity that ascended him, and the inertia ( it's only 77k votes in 3 big states) & overconfidence of the dems that did them in.

That's the crux of it. If Clinton had actually campaigned in Michigan and Wisconsin, if her campaign hadn't sold the narrative of a "blue firewall," she could have won.

But even if he lost by 80k votes in those 3 states, he would still have at least 20 million of his 60+ million voters standing solidly beside him today. I think Trump is their idea of how they would behave if they had billions in the bank. He is their answer to the "if I won the lottery" scenario.
