The predisent wades into the controversy over these participation statues for the side that came in second in a contest between two sides (in Trumpese: losers).

Many of those people were there to protest the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee. So this week, it’s Robert E. Lee, I noticed that Stonewall Jackson’s coming down. I wonder, is it George Washington next week? And is it Thomas Jefferson the week after. You know, you really do have to ask yourself, where does it stop?

I have a crazy idea. We tear down only the statues of traitors to America. We only tear down statutes of anyone who has waged war against the United States, and stop. Keep the Washington and Jefferson statues, because, you know, they didn't wage war against the Untied States.
