New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi on Monday questioned the government's celebration of the demonetisation anniversary, saying it was sad that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not feel the pain of the people.

"Modiji says he will celebrate on November 8. Obviously the Prime Minister couldn't understand the feeling of the people. What is there to celebrate, it is a sad occasion. Notebandi was an out and out disaster," the Congress vice-president said, after a meeting of party office-bearers that decided on protest programmes in every district to mark the day.

Rahul also said that GST was an example of how to destroy a good idea. "Our Punjab finance minister Manpreet Badal said at the meeting, Modiji hit the economy with two torpedoes. Economy survived demonetisation but he again torpedoed it with a flawed GST. But the Prime Minister doesn't understand he so badly hurt India," he said.

seems that every paid troll is set a target of number of posts or it's equivalent: inferred from the sporadic/seasonal flurry of rashu's posts for a few days in a row- like cops during month end for meeting the target- followed by a withdrawal refractory limp period. I wonder how the russkies' payments compare with rashu's uptake.

Rashu is merely an overzealous psycho and I don't think Rashu is paid anything, except for only visitation rights he gets to his alter ago.

well, considering the time that it takes to do this bashing/anti-campaigns, it smells more of hired-employee work than pro bono. -unless one is independently wealthy/ sustainable, arm-chaired and fossilized, like his hindu-hating perverted mentor spewing all that anti-brahmin vitriol.

Attacking the ruling BJP for its decision to celebrate demonetisation, Rahul said, "The decision of demonetisation was an out-and-out disaster. The PM is yet not able to understand the pain of the nation. I don't know what they are going to celebrate. November 8 is a sad day for us."

Rahul accused Modi of giving back to back shocks to the country. "Demonetisation was the first torpedo which the country survived, but the second torpedo of GST destroyed it," he added.

During the meeting, former PM Manmohan Singh reiterated his high-octane attack on demonetisation he made in Parliament, this time, extending it to GST.

"While demonetisation was organised loot and legalised plunder, GST has ended up taking away livelihoods of ordinary people besides shutting down businesses," AICC spokesman Randeep Surjewala quoted Singh as saying. Singh added GST has a "faulty design" and its "complication of compliances" has killed jobs and businesses.
