This is a good start. Tamils outside colonial India should disassociate themselves from Hindians and celebrate their own festivals and demand recognition as a separate group.

Do you know that last year Pongal was an optional Holiday at Indian gov offices in TN. The festival that was celebrated for a 2000 years was removed as regular holiday by hindian gov.
