india beats a clarke led aussie team
I noticed SUCH is avoiding cricket after the debacle of 4-0 loss to Australians. Finally India did win one that was not easy. Some good death over bowling by Vinay helped cut final total by 20. Dhoni almost lost the by giving up too many dot balls but made up by scoring 12 in final over.
Now that is two V's in a row. Gambhir did bat wells.

an 8-0 drubbing in tests is not going to be wiped away by some meaningless ODI win.

Don't be so negative.
We won the most important match of the series...
A Tonty/Tonty match to show the continued dominance of India.

Max,
8-0 drubbing is forever. However one cannot live in past misery. They got to get up and get going. Sitting on sidelines making sarcastic remarks( uppili) is ok for fans. Some young men are still working hard to represent India. Text tesm's failures should not hold back Odin performance. They may not win CB series but they should not give up meekly.
Gambhir, Yadab and Vijayanagar showed some fight. Dhoni Raina rohit also showed up for work.

Yes, on a flat track, we won an ODI out of the 20,000 or so that are going to be played in this we-will-play-till-you-drop-dead-bored CB(or is it VB?) series.
Yay!
Yay!

Yes. It is on this flat track India lost a test by an innings. Now they are. Showing some fight. Nobody is saying that this has suddenly became a dominant winner. Instead of mopping around about lost series, it is good to see the team Fielding, batting and even batting better. There is no need to condemn Odi team for the mistakes of test team.
No one isptetending that India solved its problems. But they sure will not have a future if they do not fight in every subsequent event.

Logic according to max and blabberwock. A student who failed miserably on a Social studies test shouldn't pick him/herself up and attempt to excel on a physics exam.
No one is denying that India is the pits right now in Tests played overseas. But to beat an Aussie team at home with players like Vinay is nothing to be sneezed at.

let me explain this:
A student who failed miserably in social studies will still fail to clear the high school even if he excelled in Physics.
Vinay is no jijubi...Remember he is a Million $ man.... along with Jadeja - commanding more money than many Aussies. So, technically, these two are super duper players.

So why try at all..right?? Just sit and be sorry for himself/herself. Sound advice, this is.

So are you just jealous that these players are making money. I told you long long time ago on this very same forum. Get over it.

The failed student should try a completely different tutorial Institute than trying the same institute.
At my age, it is not one of jealous but one of dismay and disappointment. Since everything is measured in terms of money, why shouldn't we measure talent/achievement in terms of money? Are you afraid to criticize Vinay and Jadeja bcz they are making millions or you think one should only praise these bcz of their millions?

That nonsense about changing institutes notwithstanding, I will indulge one last time. One last time because deliberate bone-headedness can neither be easily penetrated nor do I have the time.
so in your vocabulary "winning in spite of players of the caliber of Vinay" is high praise for vinay. then yeah I am afraid of Vinay and Jadeja and never question them because they make millions. Bone-headed argument No 1 from Saamiyar.
Only you and TAZ can bring up in T20/IPL on a discussion about something entirely different.
Bone-headed argument No 2 from Saamiyar.
stick to the topic of this thread. For me and some sane cricket followers, this win was heart-warming considering the beat down they took in Tests. If you had played any competitive sports at any level, you would know how difficult it is to motivate yourself when all you see are losses and beat downs.
At least Max and Blabber's disenfranchised stance has some basis.

Doofus,
Well said. Fans have a right to be angry. But these young Mennonite are just going back to after a self inflicted disaster. They do not have the luxury of time to attend a new coaching institute. They are fighting with what they got. This was India's highest run chase ever against Australia. Give them a pat for a small victory.
Now it is again time for them to get back to work.
