I used to be a Lakers fan back in the day due to my time in SoCal. Have not kept up with them but KB was one of a kind. He had his ups and downs in his personal life, but gone too soon at 41. My boys, even who is not a b-ball fan, was affected somewhat. The 13 year old daughter dying makes it worse.

it was real grieving happening on our family-chat for the boys, who were big fans of his, wearing his jersey and all, and of basketball in general (their nyc tourism starts and ends with nba store). boys themselves were nearly tearing up. then all the sunday games doing 24 seconds and 8 seconds, even i teared up watching that. 

and now grammy's
