New Delhi (March 11, 2020)

Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said Delhi Police had “successfully contained” the recent riots in Delhi to a 4 per cent area and 13 per cent population.

Expressing his deepest sympathy and condolences to all those killed, injured and affected in the riots, Shah, who was addressing Lok Sabha in reply to a discussion on the issue,  said the  Narendra Modi government would not spare those involved in the riots..........

>>>> The things are quite hectic for Govt. now because the Govts. in the past had not done much other than assume and stay in power  by keeping people generally divided and in the dark through vote bank politics while dispensing considerations, quotas and privileges to people according to caste and religion.

This has left the current Govt. with a lot to do in a short time to catch up and bring about much needed changes in the country immediately. The situation unfortunately is aggravated because the Opposition seems not only to act usually in opposition to Govt's new and corrective measures, but it also appears sometimes to incite ignorant people and vested interests against Govt. proposals and programs.

Oh yeah it was. Trucks of stones and an IB officer Ankit Sharma stabbed 400 times.

Stabbed 400 times!

Thanks to nonsensical protest against CAA, NCR, NPR, idiots without brains were duped about things not true and haven't been implemented in India. Smile

'Resolution against NPR moved in Delhi Assembly' (March 13, 2020), https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/delhi/resolution-against-npr-moved-in-delhi-assembly/articleshow/74611172.cms

.......

Comment:

No reason for Delhi assembly to not implement NPR, NRC etc.

Just because something, even though important and efficient, was not done for a long time in the past, it does not mean that the things should continue as usual without making the required change to improve things.

Anyway, if the problems and issues (including related to the proper identification, labeling and documentation etc. of citizens of the country) had been resolved and taken care of by the past Govts. (in 1950s, or in 1960s, or in 1970s, .... , or in 2010s), the present Govt. (in 2020) will not be required to deal with them now (including implementing the much needed NPR, NRC, CAA etc.).
