While watching filmfare awards on sony...saw this lady draped in voilet saree looking very different from usual b'wood crowd...she was performing on behalf of coke studio...googled her name and found she is voice behind the very famous nakka mukka

lol @ chinnaponnu name...must say very unique

Rekz,

I took notice- the first ime I heard her voice..raw, strong and powerful..

She reminds me of Aretha Franklin..Ms. Chinna Ponnu is perhaps the contemporary Queen of Tamil Folk (koothu paatu) songs.

Another couple I like who sing folk songs..are Mr and Mrs (Anitha) Kuppuswamy..they are delightful!

Nice to see you pay attention to the "different" and unique Smile !
