Italians kill 2 fishermen. They adee arrested. News all over Hindia and its occupied territories. Lankans killed over 400. No action. Instead Hindia trains the killers. Gives them ship. Give them money. What is going on?

BTW imagine what would have happened if the Italian Sonia had indeed become the PM. In order to prove the authenticity of her 'Indianness' and the 'patriotism', she would have taken India to war with Pakistan in case there was a Kargil like situation.

In the meantime, complaints came up from fishermen’s associations and political outfits that the accused Italians were getting “VIP treatment” from the police authorities. Massimiliano and Girone were seen toying with mobile phones and in company with the Italian diplomats who were talking with the duo and smoking cigarettes at will in the presence of senior police officials.

“Is this the way the Kerala Police treat men accused of murder?” asked fishing worker Yohannan of Thoppumpady, Kochi. “Or is it that the police are afraid of making such VIPs obey their orders? It is a humiliation for us to see those murderers getting such “VIP treatment,” said Yohannan.

The stupid italians should hv kept quiet and the killers would have gotten bail once the UP elections had ended. Then everyone will be talking about election wins or new victories, and the Italians could have quietly flown home.

Everyone would have been happy except the 2 fishermen's families. Of course, Italy could have given them 100,000 $ to each and they also would have been happy.

What a bunch of morons - these italians. They still think they are some mafia bosses.

What were the Italian marines doing in Indian waters any way? Even if the boat was in international waters, what were the Italians doing off India's coast?

it was a cargo vessel. italian law permits them to have marines type security on board. the marines were fed pizza and cappuccino (sourced from a leading hotel) in lockup:

Interesting. I wonder why they shot the fishermen. Do they claim that the fishing boat came too close and they thought they were pirates seeking to seize their ship? Even if you are in international waters, I doubt it is legal for you to fire at unarmed fishing boats.

yes they thought they were pirates. it turns out that 9 of the 11 fishermen on the boat were sleeping and the boat was carrying no firearms.

It is not marines, it is merchant vessel in Kerala coast.

Only area where you can shoot fishermen with immunity is Palk straights where Tamil Nadu fishermen, There you can also strip them and pour ice on them. You can push them out of their boat, then strap their necks with rope (like cowboys do in old days) and pull them choking them to death.
