"As the State gets ready to send a huge contingent to the IITs this year, the new developments over admission procedures in the IITs for next year have sent jitters among the aspirants.

The changes in the IIT admission test from next year, approved by the Joint Councils of IITs, NITs and IIITs on Monday, will ensure that 50 per cent weightage is given to the Intermediate examination. This has come as a jolt to the aspirants who have already completed their first year and are into second year."
