are these olympic games? Empty are these olympic games?

Summer O - beach volleyball water polo
winter O - curling
why are these sports in olympics? Are these popular widely contested competetive sports?
Water polo. Who plays this game? Where?
Bw - it is popular but who plays this seriously?
curling - it is a popular sport in mn. I know all 15 people who play and patronize this game.
There should be two levels of medals with track and field boxing ennis bicycling and other world games at a high level and limited games at low level. This may also bring down costs.
it also makes games more representative of world athelets.
yes some day a lazy sport like cricket must be included as an exception.

If popularity is the key, then they should include Golf and perhaps Kiricket. With tont/tonty well established, it is only fitting that it is included - If field hockey, football and other sports can be finished in 2 weeks, so can cricket.

A sport should be popular competetive and some atheletism involved. Otherwise card games should also beincluded.
