The voter ID law in Pennsylvania was explicitly designed to reduce turnout for Obama and deliver the state to Obama. The GOP assembly leader said so in a public speech to supporters. Today a state judge refused to block the law, although the state accepted in court that it is "not aware of any incidents of in person voter fraud." In other words, the law was designed to solve a problem that does not exist, and it benefits one party -- the party of the judge. And it was allowed to stand.

I think it is good that voter IDs are verified and only citizens are allowed to vote in any elections.

Hope this is repeated in all other states.

Yes. It solves a problem that -- in the words of the state government that passed the law -- does not exist, so it is all good.

PS: Poll tax V2012 is what these laws are. Of course, you can argue that the Jim Crow Poll Taxes were good things too.
