Scotland seals terms of historic independence vote

Scotland on Monday set up a historic independence referendum after its leader signed an agreement with Britain's prime minister finalizing arrangements for a vote which could lead to the demise of its three-centuries-old union with England. Scotland's drive for sovereignty, led by its nationalist leader Alex Salmond, echoes separatist moves by other European regions such as Catalonia and Flanders at a time when a crisis-hit European Union is undergoing deep changes to its identity.

Give Hindia some time. England and Scotland formed the kingdom of Great Britain in 1707. It took them 305 years to get to a plebiscite. If the issue is still alive 250 years from now, Dansai can reissue his challenge then.

Hey Kayar,

These days, plebiscites are not cheap. People in Hindia (including in TN) don't vote unless they are bribed. How much money are you willing to shell out? Remember that, after the plebiscite, even if you win, you won't be able to recover your money as you won't be in Hindia any more.

Will you give me the right to a Plebiscite for an independent Uppilinaadu ?

Tanji Bhoy should be tried for treason for considering a truncated Tamil Naadu as his home country.

Anything short of an Akhaand Tamil Naadu is not acceptable to the true Tamilians.
