No Toilet no bride Empty No Toilet no bride

Looks like Jairam Ramesh forgot his roots. He used to carry a tumbler to the fields to squat and fight hungry pigs!

He is also unrealistic. If a bride marries someone who has no toilet, that likely means that he is either unemployed or is a laborer in agricultural fields. Instead, Ramesh's slogan should be: no toilet, no groom! If a guy is used to toilet, he may be employed and lives in a decent enough place and when he visits his in-laws, he doesn't need to squat in front of nasty pigs! Hmm....

This is what will happen now.

Along with cars, jewels and dowry, a toilet will be added to the "demand" list from the bride's side.

I can see why you are upset with this development. All your research on rural women's underclothing (or lack of it) backed with videographic evidence will come to a grinding halt if those village folk discontinue their under-the-starlight CEO-like habits.

So Unkil, why don't you take up the noble cause of furthering knowledge in this field and fight tooth and nail against Ramesh's narrow-minded urban persecution of the holiest of Indian traditions: to commune with nature while attending its call? For starters, just accuse Jairam Ramesh of grabbing land in his in-laws village. Poor man will spend a lifetime fighting that charge while you keep your handycam running.
