This was written 125 yrs ago. Written by a Westerners for the Westerners about Easterners, about whom they knew very little culturally.

Incest should hv been there. But, there was widespread child marriage. And the "wives" were reconnected with their hubbies after reaching puberty - often at 12 to 15 yrs. These could well have been included in the "incest and pedophile" gorup.
