LUCKNOW: Following several attempts to attract industry into Uttar Pradesh, China's Ming He Group has expressed interest in setting up a lead acid battery-manufacturing unit in the state.

The government may also give additional incentives other than the one listed in the industrial policy on the basis of recommendation made by an empowered committee and approved by the state Cabinet.

The official release said the low cost of operations in the state, apart from the fiscal benefits in the new policy have impressed the Chinese company.
