What is the point of having Pujara and Rahul Sharma on the bench for match after match? This deprives them of playing in ranji matches (Nohit Sharma also). They are on the bench so much so that Rahul Sharma has been out of sight of media and cricket watchers, and is at "who is Rahul sharma" stage.

Is Dhoni puts personal "equations" ahead of other selection criteria? Is he afraid that if Pujara and Nohit and Rahul Sharma end up doing well in Ranji he will be forced to include them at the cost of people he likes - Raina, etc.?

Dawan, Mukund, Pujara, Manoj Tiwary, Manish Pandey (the guy has started scoring big again), etc...and so many youngsters are rotting for some strange reasons...Ironically, many of these are test-potential material and perhaps that is why Dhoni is ignoring them completely for ODIs?

I read the comments by a poster on Cricinfo and that made me think.

As I read somewhere, pick only 12 and add another 2 or 3 LOCAL lads as potential back up wherever the match is held. That will enable these players to play domestic matches if there is an overlap.
