Mr. Suresh, a native of Mumbai, India who came to the United States at age 21, will succeed Jared Cohon, who in 2010 announced plans to step down from Carnegie Mellon's presidency in June after a 16-year tenure.

How is that the Tamils who are successful in America are mostly the ones who grew up in Mumbai or Delhi? They might have done their undergraduate at IIT Madras. But they are not from Madras.

Another example is Ramamurthy Shankar, the professor physics at Yale. He is from Delhi.

It's the same reason Muthuswami Dikshitar and Srinivasa Ramanujan succeeded. Tamilians succeed only under the influence of non-Tamilians. We have established this with internet research spanning multiple disciplines.
