In spite of protests SL President Rajapaksa was welcomed with Guard of Honour as he came on a pligrimage to a Buddhist site in Bihar.

Parvathi Ammal, Commander's sick mother in her 80s, was turned back at Chennai airport when she came to Chennai for medical treatrment citing her visit is a security threat to Ondia.

Shows that LTTE terrorists were that much notorious than SL soldiers, that even an 80-yr old lady caused tremendous fear.

P.S. It is a SHAME to allow Rajapakse - a budhist but considered a part of Hindu pantheon by Temple authorities of Guruvayoor, Tirupati, Puri, etc.. which would not allow even Indira Gandhi.

There are really two shameful things: (1) Disallowing anyone on the basis of caste or creed to enter any temple. India's secularism is the biggest joke. And (2) Permitting the leader of war crimes (and atrocities committed against civilians in his own country) to enter Indian temples on the basis of his religious affiliation.

Shame on UPA. Shame on DMK for making a mockery of its own protest by unwilling to untie its alliance with Congress over Rajapakse's visit. And shame on Tirupati Devastanam.
