This won't succeed. Not just because the technology is too challenging, but also because its success would threaten the existence of the firearms industry. NRA takes positions that are the opposite of what a majority of its membership supports, because those positions benefit the firearms industry. They will not hesitate to oppose this if this becomes anything much more than a wiki.
