...a good analysis. It appears that women are the ones who are playing "good cricket" today, while the men play "baseball" on cricket field.

As a rule, women seem to swing the ball more than men do, and they also
do not need turners to spin the ball - all they need is a 22-yard
cricket pitch.


Good article & observations by Sanjay. May be they should hire them to coach our bowlers.

Women cannot expect to slam over the fences or smash it through the gaps - the men style. Naturally, they are expected to use guile, weaknesses, glancing, style, and timing.

heck....these are in-born abilities of every female.

he is spot on about bats. it is only because of these new bats that wood-cutters such as yusuf pathan, pollard and saurabh tiwary are still playing the game. 20 years ago, they would have considered a career with a saw in their hand most satisfying.
