Didn't think of that Vidya. Thanks for reminding about that, the ticking off part. But I don't think she is not posting for that reason. There must be something else .. perhaps busy with other things.

I realized, may be, just may be, I was a tad quick to comment on Seva L's brain size with just one datapoint. I don't follow Sevaji's logic or threads too much since my brain glazes over, but just found it funny that he missed the 'obvious'. There is a category of such plain-spoken, take-it-at-facevalue folks and those of us from Thanjavur delta immediately look down upon, and I am trying hard to beat that typical stereotyping.

mbchu posted something that, according to him, only the people he looks down on would. he then deleted the post. now he's using that info to spread the word that there are people he looks down on, that he is not one of them, although he was for a little while.

That is indeed not very scientific.

You should at least have 2 data points to draw a curve...and infer any information.

Speaking of blessings, I thought about your Mom when I read your post..have not met you all..but, from what I have seen and read..can see that she is a special lady and you are a good son too:) It may be also because..I was thinking about my mother a lot today (spoke to her this morning)..and mothers from that generation!
With pre-Mother's Day tributes pouring in..poignant, grateful and of course..very sweet..

Of all the "must celebrate"- designated days for celebration..I would cut a lot of slack for Mother's day.

I like it, and it's good to see mothers being appreciated at least once a year. In a perfect world with perfect moms and children..it should be perhaps more often..With so many estranged famiies..tangled up in family disputes-wars, older mothers being neglected and ill..not to mention those who are grieving the loss of mothers and feel the void, it's especially good to see older mothers, being cared for in a good way.

you take care..younger moms can use a lot of support and appreciation too!
