Islam and Secularism will never meet!

None of the so-called Secular Muslims have a problem with such statements.
It does not matter what the laws are, once they have a majority, their society forces secularism out!
So it is foolish to think that Secularism in India will be protected even in areas where they are in a majority.
Their acts in Kerala,Assam,West Bengal and Kashmir proves the point.

you are dead wrong on two counts:
1. It does not matter what the laws are, once they are have a kOranic majority (defined as 15%), their society forces secularism and every other belief/religion out!

This is irrelevant to the topic at hand. This is about the foolish belief (repeated by some folks in this forum) that Indian Non Muslims will somehow be protected from the inherent Islamic Supremacist Doctrine, that seeks to convert Non-muslims ( by any means possible including inducement/intimidation/violence) to ultimately achieve full throated Political Islam, because Indian laws supposedly protects them.
The Political islamists, start these activities as soon as they reach 10-15%. If less than 15% work towards first reaching 15%. Once they reach that number they start intruding into the political space adding one law at a time so that Sharia is imposed on everybody. A law (Indian constitution) written 60 years ago, can never anticipate all the possible acts that Political Islamists can do to achieve their aims. In addition the amendments made in 1979 by Congress was a big mistake because it facilitated these Political islamists to become more brazen.
Not every Muslim is involved in it, only a few political islamists. But the deafening silence of the rest, and their acquiescence to these acts, make them culpable.
As Edmund Burke said "the only thing necessary for triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing"
Solving this problem, needs fundamental understanding of this treat. Continuous amendments in laws, will only serve to heighten threat perceptions of these Political islamists, making them more violent.
Needs some other solution. I believe this issue is the single most important one (in the social space) for the long term survival of Non-muslims in India, given the fact that it is surrounded by countries which are Islamic.

More proof that Muslim Majority is to be feared and is incompatible to secularism!
These are the typical messages being used in Maldivian elections. Maldives is already 99.9% Muslim.
Gasim Ibrahim, the head of the Jumhoree party, one of the richest and a serious contender for president in the elections said on 23rd April that he is looking for a coalition of political parties in defence of Islam and the Maldivian nation to make the religion of Allah victorious!
In his campaign speech on 12th April at Naalaaafushi he declared that Maldives is in need of a leader ( no doubt pushing his case) who will not disregard the building and expansion of mosques and who will not build temples, churches and synagogues in Maldives. If it just a rhetoric for the sake of election, one can understand but it does not appear to be so.
His deputy Dr. Hussein declared on25th of April and I quote- “Every Nation has its own unique characteristics and in that regard the most special characteristics of Maldives is the Islamic Unity of the people . . . and not allowing any religion other than Islam in the Maldives.”
