The future of *commuting* is a staircase at best.
This could be a good vehicle for day trips or weekends. I am all excited about unmanned drones that may be refuelled mid-air which I can use for all sorts of 'fetch' and 'drop'.

I read and also watched a video about its founder and this carplane etc..
1. I am a visionary as the one who uses this will be called a "Plane Driver"
2. Will Impy's speeding tickets on the road count if she were to speed -fly in one of these.

This is exciting. I don't know why I missed the kickstarter project; I would have pitched in if I hadn't. The NASA Green Flight Challenge is even more interesting. Aircraft today are far too noisy and gas-guzzling to become reasonable personal commute options, and the challenge helps address those issues.

Re: The Future of Commuting?
I agree the traditional commute might become less and less common. But people will still want to move about the world on a daily basis -- or at least I hope so. It would be sad if human beings become altogether home-bound sedentary animals once they have drones to go out into the world for them. And I hope personal mobility will shift from the land-based automobiles of today to quieter and more efficient airplanes like this one in my lifetime.Muezzin-Bar'chu wrote:The future of *commuting* is a staircase at best.

You can still pitch in monetarily for this project if you like.
