At the end of a gruelling month-long training camp, six students have been selected to represent India at the high-profile International Mathematical Olympiad being held at Santa Marta, Columbia, between July 18 and 28.

The mathematical olympiad was started in 1959 in Romania. India started participating in it in 1989. The Indian participation is sponsored by the National Board for Higher Education under the Department of Atomic Energy and the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Students from more than 100 countries participate in the competition, which is held annually.
