This stock line (linn energy) took at 50% haircut this week due to some problems with sec enquiries and so on...am waiting for my buy order to hit at 20 after today's short covering subsides. Will buy again if it drops to 15. Risky buy but have a hunch

FYI , it is an LLC not Inc. It requires filing schedule-k1 which complicates the tax filing. Many of the tax preparers are also unfamiliar with these kind of schedule k-1s. If you are buying it in the IRA account, you will be OK. If buying in a taxable account, beware.

No shit..I already have LLC related headache. What do you think bat it's prospects? Nice call on ddd top at 48...it seems to be encountering heavy resistance at 47ish

Bought some DDD short term calls on friday. My short term target is 54ish.
It may pull back to 45 near term and I may add more if it does. The stop for the whole position is currently at 43.8 . I will adjust the stop according to its behavior.

B-a,
are your numbers based on technical analysis? Is there a specific type of charting technique do you use? If you use fundamentals ddd is in stratosphere.
Or are these numbers mere guesswork? ( not trying to be negative or critical but trying to understand trading logic).

Prop,
trading requires homework and constant attention.I could not find time and stopped trading for few months. I do not know how the chart looks like today.

3d Manf is good but unlike software it will take a long time to evolve. At these prices it is not good investment. Trading is a different issue. You have a better grasp on that than me.

Facts are interestrates are going up and us economy is on sure footing. Banks are good investment.
Turkey could be a roller coaster ride but a reasonable risk.

For a short term trader like me , the fundamental analysis is of little to no use.
I rely on Technical Analysis - patterns, trendlines, MAs etc.

looks like miners have hit a bottom and there's some consolidation going on. CLF, walther energy(WLT), peabody (BTU), ANR etc are moving off their bases on strong volume. I think energy related companies (including mining cos) will move big this summer

30% return on WLT already. yeehah...and 8% on LINE from my entry point. still kicking myself for not buying at 20.
