Diggy bhow bhow apparently made a deal with two leaders from Kurnool and Anantapur to merge the two districts with Telangana. Looks like BJP will now have an excuse to stall the bill in Parliament and to push KCR to the bottle again.

Actually the correct term for guys like Owaisi, is "Political Islamist".
A political Islamist by definition is against the Constitution of India, and seeks supremacy of Islam in everything they do.

If Congress is doing this entire thing naam-ke-vaaste and are going to use R-T as a poison pill in the end, they are playing with fire and the Telugu people will pay the price for their pyromania. What they did in 2009 was bad enough when KCR pseudo-fasted. If they take the Telangana people for a ride a second time, things will get very ugly. It is when the people are disgusted with political antics like this that they start supporting anti-national forces like the Naxals.

My reading is that Congress wants rayala t to divide ap into two 21 Mp. Some how they calculate kurnool and anatapur will be delighted and sweep Congress to power. They talked about reddy and Muslim vote consolidation.
It is possible that azad and diggy raja bought off the political nonsense of th venkatesh, kotla and jc diwakar reddy. They want to get rid off the twin menace they face. Jagan's ysr party and cbn's tdp. With one stroke they seperate themselves from their enemies.
That could be behind tg venkatesh asking United andhra or greater rayalserma( neither is a possibility) . He then follows that with kurnool as capital (another unlikely selection. But those denials sets up union of 2.more rayala districts into Hyderabad state. They could it spin it as a water solution for their district.

But if Congress wants to go ahead with this plan, do they have the votes to pass it through parliament? I don't think so.

:)That article is what they call analysis paralysis. Assumption is neither region would have an issue with this move. Congress wants to merge those two 'R' districts to negate BJP's influence/growth in T state which translates to Congress is not sure of their survival of 'T' state. However, majority in AP thought that the very reason for bifurcation is to counter Jagan and help themselves in T region. Looks like they want to have cake and eat it too.

Bjp growth in telangana?
I don't understand the basis of this argument.
rss has wide base in t area for. A very long time. But that never translated to bjp vote. Lot of Congress secondary leadership is rss in disguise.
How can a new state make bjp more popular? Their support for t state may get them about a total of 5 or 6 mla seats.
Also mim says it is for United state. They get about 7 or 8 mla. Seats. They could end up being decision makers in future. Why do they oppose t state?
