An Andhra fellow buys a buffalo
A farmer in Andhra (not Kancha) bought this buffalo for Rs 25 lakhs thinking that it will win a 1 Kg gold (Rs 28 lakhs) award in a national competition. It promises to give 30L of milk. Being an Andhrite, he should be careful. Hopefully, this won't be another Telangana merger type deal.

I have supreme confidence in the Andhrite - he will "milk" the buffalo for all it is worth.

unrelated... there is a saying in hindi... bharose ki bhains paada de gayi.... dad uses this line often, lol. I think it means, a buffalo who you trusted a lot, ended up bearing a male child when you were expecting her to bear a female child to milk more. Male ones are useless for most part.

And the Andhra farmer's name is supposed to "Rajiv Sarpanch." What kind of name is that?MaxEntropy_Man wrote:is the outfit he is wearing standard wear for andhra farmers?
PS: That's a "file photo" so the guy in it is likely the former Haryanvi owner Kapoor Singh. That's two last names. Again, what kind of name is that? Something smells bad in this story.

This doesn't look like the typical buffalo with big horns. Looks more like a big, dark cow. Is this a certain rare buffalo variety?Vakavaka Pakapaka wrote:A farmer in Andhra (not Kancha) bought this buffalo for Rs 25 lakhs thinking that it will win a 1 Kg gold (Rs 28 lakhs) award in a national competition. LOL. We have a similar saying in Andhra. Sadly, these days, the male ones are killed because tractors are used for cultivation/irrigation.Vidya Bagchi wrote:unrelated... there is a saying in hindi... bharose ki bhains paada de gayi.... dad uses this line often, lol. Yes, guruvu-gaaru... to combine two Telugu sayings: Andhra people are too innocent to know how to bite even if you put your finger in their mouths. Whereas Telangana people will cut off your head with wet clothes.Vakavaka Pakapaka wrote:Read again. Well, that your opinion :-). I was only using T-merger as an example of an uncertain thing (the guy invested his money thinking that the buffalo will win, just as A guys did in Hyd thinking that it will be AP's capital forever).Idéfix wrote:Yes, guruvu-gaaru... to combine two Telugu sayings: Andhra people are too innocent to know how to bite even if you put your finger in their mouths.
