Anyone following? A couple of top players are paid around $120k but majority paid around $30k-$40k. Media is expecting many Tollywood stars to be present for matches played in Hyd hoping that would boost attendance.

Looks like no one is following Smile Wasn't it only a few weeks ago that the league was set up and people bought teams? Nagarjuna bought a stake in a team and so did Gavaskar. I know the matches are already going on but I haven't followed the scores or anything. Is $30-$40k decent money for badminton?

The amount of 30 to 40 k is for a months work. Some of the topnotch play in other leagues.
I am following a little bit. Sindu, the new Indian sensation from sp started rather slowly but is now beating top talent. She won against world no.3 with a score of 21-20 and 21-20.
saina is in top form and she could lead hyd to title.

my point exactly. there is. maybe was. i don't know what happened to it, but i recall seeing adverts on ESPN about Mumbai/Maratha something taking on Delhi something. that was years ago. maybe it is dead now.
