he is a super confident guy and combining this with advent of TONTY/TONTY it has killed his patience and judicious shot selection. The way he got out in the first test/first innings was atrocious shot selection. But his second innings out was just bad bounce. I think he will given the second test to prove himself. Just like Dhoni stated, he will be kept in rotation till GG/Sehwag come back.

Mukund looked okay in his brief second innings. I have no faith in Parthiv.

Like one of the readers had noted he is close to 27. Having started playing cricket at 17, he had a great start, support, and opportunity.

Now he is just about ready to blow it away. He should get back to his grind and stay attitude. I called him Mini-wall when he appeared on test cricket and expected to take over Dravid's role. He has perhaps ONE last chance to rectify.

the problem is not with vijay. the problem is with srikanth - the CEO of Chennai Mafia. this idiot does not see talent west of madurai and north of annasalai. vijay should be given a few more chances in tests because of his hundred against AUS but he should be ignored in ODIs.

He is starting to look like Sadagopan Ramesh Part II now. Loads of talent but a loose game coupled with a failure to capitalize on good starts. Oh well, atleast he has the IPL where he can flex his muscles, thrash the ball in anger for a few weeks and earn a handsome salary. Poor Ramesh didn't even have that opportunity. And he was way more talented(IMO).
