After Sid Varadarajan was fired from The Hindu, now Hartosh Singh Bal the political editor of Open magazine has been fired from Open magazine. On his twitter page, Bal writes this happened after this story of his ( in which he had skewered both Rahul G and NaMo):

Bal says he was offered Rs 15 lakh for going away quietly or else face termination. He chose the latter option.
