Nah. Even if he misread the situation the first time, there was no excuse for the second attempt. Or for the awful things he said and smsed to her after the second attempt.

That said, this whole business of wanting to string him up the lamp-post is equally disgusting. C'mon, it was sexual harassment for sure. There was also physical molestation. But it's not rape. Treating it on par with rape belittles the more serious crime and further distorts the rape statistics in the country. As it is, a majority of the so-called "rapes" reported here are just women complaining after an affair goes bad. Treating harassment as rape will only artificially inflate those numbers.

On the contrary, he should be punished more severely than others as one moves higher up in the society becoming more powerful, richer, influential, the more responsible they are expected to be with others. When they break that responsibility, the punishment also should be more severe as the damage done by them is more profound.

Hang the bastard for fingering a woman he has known since childhood, daughter of his friend, co-worker, his daughters close friend, etc..etc...not once but twice...

Or, punish him per Shariat - cut his 2 fingers.
