In many of these so called wall street firms, the individual making India assessment is probably a clueless Indian origin mba from one of the top schools.
it is foolish to make strong predictions of modi's victory six months before elections. one has to go back to 2004 when things looked very rosy for bjp six months before.

In that elections and before, you had congress throwing mud with falsified slogans and catchy phrases. The BJP oldies played the old-style decent politics resulting int heir defeat.truthbetold wrote:In many of these so called wall street firms, the individual making India assessment is probably a clueless Indian origin mba from one of the top schools.

This time around you have almost a street thug - a non-Delhi guy - leading a no-holds barred campaign against Shehzada and the Madam.
Only Sibal, Doggy, and Tiwari are talking...rather breathing.

Uppili ,
you may be right or you may be full of it. we will only know in may. but i still say it is too early for a wall street firm to make a prediction suggesting people put money on the line.
despite secular desperate efforts congress dug itself a huge hole. rahul seemed to help turnoff remaining support. modi is able rally his right wing support. all good.
but six months is a long time and history tells us we should hold our horses on predictions.

General elections are still far away.
One can never tell.
My gut feeling is BJP will end up with more seats in the parliament than what it has now. But it will not get an absolute majority. Sonia will play dirty tricks and form the next government by cobbling up a secular coalition.

Rishi, it doesn't matter -- it is going to be a very interesting election anyway.Rishi wrote:>>>Seva,Seva Lamberdar wrote:http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Nomura-expects-Narendra-Modi-led-BJP-to-come-to-power-after-Lok-Sabha-elections/articleshow/26480152.cms
